Memories

So I wrote a poem yonks ago with around about 690 words, but because of the length, I think it's more typically called an "epic" rather than a poem.
I know that there is so much more I could add to it, edit, reword,... but I think it would go on forever if I did that, so I will leave it as it is.

The Memories

the memories of laughter

of life and of death

the memories of sadness

and shortness of breath

the memories of smiles

on sweet little faces

the memories of cities

and beautiful places

the memories of anger

withholding its grins

the memories of dusting

and emptying bins

the memories of grazes

of bruises and sores

the memories of winning

and boastful roars

the memories of boredom

of paper and pen

the memories of writing

a letter to send

the memories of books

of movies and such

the memories of action

and motorbike ruts

the memories of cupcakes

of biscuits and slice

the memories of dinners

and cold apple pies

the memories of strangers

of manners and rules

the memories of playing

and skipping on school

the memories of Google

and internet problems

the memories of laptops

and pressing of buttons

the memories of piano

or writing a song

the memories of music

and singing along

the memories of dancing

and stepping on toes

the memories of clapping

where anything goes

the memories of timing

and digital clocks

the memories of waiting

and watches that stop

the memories of night

and sneaking around

the memories of games

with silence a sound

the memories of lollies

and taking a look

the memories of travel

and feeling crook

the memories of coughing

and sniffily noses

the memories of sunshine

and sweet smelling roses

the memories of airplanes

on top of the clouds

the memories of airports

down on the ground

the memories of ants

that crawl over feet

the memories of trees

and defender defeat

the memories of hay

and sweet little kittens

the memories of goats

that cannot be written

the memories of fishing

of shooting at night

the memories of hiking

or flying a kite

the memories of summer

and watery skies

the memories of aircon

and pestering flies

the memories of autumn

with piles of leaves

the memories of gardens

with carrots and peas

the memories of winter

and frost on the grass

the memories of coffee

in a mug or a glass

the memories of milking

on cold rainy days

the memories of sunsets

and fires ablaze

the memories of spring

of cicadas and birds

the memories of sand

and digging the dirt

the memories of storms

and terrible hail

the memories of dust

and coal to inhale

the memories of horses

that gallop the wind

the memories of bookshelves

and all that's within

the memories of cattle

we fed for their meat

the memories of tires

and old wooden seats

the memories of sheep

and gaggles of geese

the memories of eggs

and rabbits released

the memories of pushbikes

of rides in the mud

the memories of mulb'ries

and picking a dud

the memories of knowing

of a life to be born

the memories of dentists

and teeth that were worn

the memories of bubbles

and blowing balloons

the memories of skating

and losing a shoe

the memories of baking

on floury floors

the memories of toffee

and dirtying doors

the memories of churches

and groups that relate

the memories of conflict

and relative hate

the memories of pain

and cutting rejection

the memories of hearts

with different reflections

the memories of L’s

forever and ever

the memories of mottos

of ‘never say never’

the memories of boating

and learning to row

the memories of tubing

and not letting go

the memories of friends

who stay there for life

the memories of guys

with finding a wife

the memories of mothers

who wipe away tears

the memories of fathers

who conquer their fears

the memories of sisters

loving and kind

the memories of brothers

speaking their mind

the memories of quarrels

in honest, were few

the memories of struggle

that pushed us through

remember the Love

that will keep us together

remember the grace

and hold it forever

remember the passion

that forced Him to us

remember our Jesus

Who died on the cross

remember the Master

Who loved us so dear

remember the Reason

that brought us all here
