"Holy is the Lord..."
Those four words are so humbling.
Holy is the Lord
"And the Levites who were musicians - Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and all their songs and brothers - were dressed in fine linen robes and stood at the east side of the altar playing cymbals, lyres, and harps. They were joined by 120 priests who were playing trumpets. The trumpeters and singers performed together in unison to praise and give thanks to the Lord.
Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments, they raise their voices and praised the Lord with these words:
"He is good! His faithful love endures forever!"
At that moment a thick cloud filled the Temple of the Lord. The priests could not continue their service because of the cloud, for the glorious presence of the Lord filled the Temple of God."

Hearts
It has been awhile...
--
I have been given so many hearts
How can I hold them?
With what do I mold them?
With love, and love alone.
I have been given so many hearts
How can I love them?
What if I break them?
What if I break my own?
Where is Hope?
"And when I fell to the place
of no hope,
to the ultimate end
to the ultimate end
of my rope,
You were there, You were there.
And when I found my heart
You were there, You were there.
And when I found my heart
had been broken,
when all of my fears
when all of my fears
had been spoken,
Nothing to say,
Nothing to say,
nothing to pray,
You were there,
You were there,
You were always there."
Still Planted
[Still Planted]
{lyrics}
{lyrics}
The branches rattle against the wind
The old tree quivers at the cold within
The dying leaves abandon in the strife
The tree stands worn by the storms of life
There is nothing left at all inside
So resurrect the hope in me that died
This tree is still planted here
Though they may not see the roots
I'm digging deeper into Jesus
To firmly plant my boots
This tree is still standing here
With a Love to see it through
I am broken, I'm a wreck,
But my faith remains in You
Lord, my soul is hurting
My vision is blind
Lord, my heart is bleeding
Oh hear this broken cry
There is nothing left at all inside
So resurrect the hope in me that died
This tree is still planted here
Though they may not see the roots
I'm digging deeper into Jesus
To firmly plant my boots
This tree is still standing here
With a Love to see it through
I am broken, I'm a wreck,
But my faith remains in You
Oh My Friend
Oh My Friend
~
To my wonderful friend
So bold and beautiful
You brought a dazzling light
And made my life a musical
You were gentle and sweet
But quick to take the dare
To show the world of your love
And that you openly cared
Lord knows I'll miss you now you're gone
But I'm honored to have known you for this long
I Was a Fire
~
I was a fire
With kindling for heart;
A match was struck,
A flame was start
It burned to the core
With coals and smoke;
Quenched by water,
The fire was choked
The blazes were seething
With smoldering coals;
In the passing of time,
The fire grew cold
Wanderings
My wandering thoughts tiptoed through the hall
Where a clock struck the second breaking the silence after all.
My wandering voice echoes over the mountain
Where a bird flits a feather mocking my call again and again.
It isn't silence after all - the noise is asleep, but for those who resist the slumber suffer the magnifying thoughts in the soundless night.
