Memories

So I wrote a poem yonks ago with around about 690 words, but because of the length, I think it's more typically called an "epic" rather than a poem.
I know that there is so much more I could add to it, edit, reword,... but I think it would go on forever if I did that, so I will leave it as it is.

The Memories

the memories of laughter

of life and of death

the memories of sadness

and shortness of breath

Whose Hands

My hands tremble

Upward and open

Shaking the stillness

Beneath the ocean

Holy is the Lord

"Holy is the Lord..."

Those four words are so humbling.

"And the Levites who were musicians - Asaph, Heman, Jeduthun, and all their songs and brothers - were dressed in fine linen robes and stood at the east side of the altar playing cymbals, lyres, and harps. They were joined by 120 priests who were playing trumpets. The trumpeters and singers performed together in unison to praise and give thanks to the Lord.
Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals, and other instruments, they raise their voices and praised the Lord with these words:
"He is good! His faithful love endures forever!"
At that moment a thick cloud filled the Temple of the Lord. The priests could not continue their service because of the cloud, for the glorious presence of the Lord filled the Temple of God."

Hearts

It has been awhile...

--

I have been given so many hearts

How can I hold them?
With what do I mold them?

With love, and love alone.

I have been given so many hearts

How can I love them?
What if I break them?

What if I break my own?
